One is an alternative/indie rock band from Huntington, West Virginia, USA.
The Herd Of Main Street
The Herd Of Main Street
The Herd of Main Street blends a soulful mix of Americana, classic country and classic rock n’ roll. Their music will “take the listener on a journey far outside the grip of the cold, grey city. This is the music of wind-swept country plains and stretches of open road disappearing into a distant vanishing point.” – Ray’s Realm. The Duo is songwriters Peter McKibben, who also plays guitar and harmonica, and his wife, multi-instrumentalist Gena McKibben -(Guitar, Slide guitar, Pedal Steel, Piano, Mandolin, banjo, vocals)

They have been called “Baltimore’s modern-day version of The Band” by Fly Magazine and have released three albums, Hearts, Roads, and Tears, 2009, Seven Dollar Grave, 2011, Rust on Metal, 2013, and an EP entitled Bound to Echo, 2014. A new record, Heyday, was released in August of 2017. All are available on all major streaming/downloading services and select record stores.

“Best listened to with the windows down or outside in the country air. Combining classic country and rock-and-roll with blues and folk roots, this quintet makes a rich medley of Americana music, one that’s reminiscent of the greats who came before them: The Band, The Allman Brothers, Gov’t Mule. Be sure to check out their full album, Heyday, when it drops” – Baltimore Magazine
